Are you a music industry or marketing/business major looking for an educational and productive internship to complement your college experience?

Interning at Mack Avenue provides hands-on experience working within the music industry for an exciting jazz and R&B record label and publishing company. You can earn college credits while gaining exposure to the industry, as well as practical work experience. Mack Avenue Records has available internships in two offices — Detroit/Harper Woods, MI and Los Angeles/Encino, CA— both locations are looking for sharp, motivated student interns in the following departments:

• Administration
• Royalties & Finance
• Sales & Marketing
• Music Licensing & Publishing
• Promotion

Duties will vary depending on department. Interns may be responsible for special projects, conducting research, internal inventory, database maintenance, promotional mailings, writing reports, proof reading and general administrative tasks such as filing, copying, faxing and distribution.

To be considered, you must be currently enrolled in a college or university and provide a letter from such confirming you will receive school credit. Our internships are for credit only. We are most interested in those interns who are available to start during the next upcoming school semester, but we will keep your information on file for any future sessions thereafter. Just keep us posted in case your schedule or availability changes.

In order to accommodate your session preferences, we ask that you submit your resume at least 60 days prior to that time; 90 days is preferred. Please note, there may be some flexibility depending on our needs, but here is the school session schedule we generally follow.

Internship Schedule & Resume Submission Dates:

• Summer Session (June through August) – submit resume before March 1
• Fall Session (September through December) – submit resume before June 1
• Winter Session (January through May) – submit resume before November 1
